Directions for Optimal Effectiveness
Hot Use (Thermotherapy)
- Place your pad in the center of the microwave with half a cup of water.
- Select the indicated power and time:
- 500W - 700W: 30 seconds maximum
- 800W - 1000W: 20 seconds maximum
- Gently shake the pad to distribute the hot ceramic beads evenly.
- Check the temperature before inserting it into its cover and applying it to the desired area.
- Caution: Only reheat the pad when it is at room temperature.
Cold Use (Cryotherapy)
- To protect the pad from moisture and odors, slip it into a plastic freezer bag.
- Place everything in the freezer for 60 to 120 minutes.
- Insert the pad into its cover before applying it to your skin.
Can the pad be machine washed?
No, only the bead insert should not be washed. It should be stored in a dry place. However, you can clean the cover by following the care instructions, preferably by hand, to preserve the quality of the fabric.
How long does the heat or cold last?
The pad is designed to provide an effective temperature for approximately 20 to 30 minutes, the generally recommended duration for a thermotherapy or cryotherapy session.
Is there a risk if I overheat it?
Yes. It is imperative to follow the indicated heating times. Overheating can irreversibly damage the pad and pose a burn risk. Never leave it unattended while heating.
The pad is slightly damp when it comes out of the microwave, is this normal?
Yes, it is completely normal to feel a slight dampness to the touch when the pad is new or after a long period of non-use. This natural moisture will evaporate quickly. Let it evaporate before placing the pad in its cover.
Can I use a method other than the microwave to heat it?
No. This pad is designed to be heated exclusively in a microwave oven. Any other heating method (conventional oven, stove, etc.) is prohibited and dangerous.
