Follow these simple instructions for safe and optimal use:
For hot use:
- Open the stuffed animal and remove the silicone bead cushion. Never heat the entire stuffed animal.
- Place the bead cushion in the microwave with half a cup of water next to it. The water helps keep the beads hydrated.
- Heat strictly according to the times indicated:
- 300-450W power: 35 seconds maximum
- 800-1000W power: 15 seconds maximum
- Carefully remove the cushion. Check the temperature with the back of your hand before putting it back in the plush cover.
For cold use:
- Remove the cushion from the plush cover.
- Place the cushion in a plastic freezer bag to protect it from moisture and odors.
- Leave it in the freezer for 60 to 120 minutes.
- Put the cold cushion back in the cover before giving it to the child.
Care instructions:
- The cover: Preferably hand wash or machine wash at 30°C (delicate cycle). Leave to air dry.
- The bead cushion: Must NEVER be washed or immersed in water. Air it regularly.
Is this hot water bottle really safe for a newborn?
Yes, the soft toy is CE EN71 certified and can be used from birth (0+). However, as a precaution, it is recommended that you never leave a baby unattended with a hot water bottle in their crib. Use it to preheat the bed or for supervised cuddle time.
Why do I need to add a cup of water to the microwave?
The cup of water creates a humid atmosphere in the microwave. This prevents the silicone beads from drying out, prolongs their life, and ensures a gentler and more even heat distribution.
Can I wash the entire comforter?
No, it is essential to remove the silicone bead cushion before washing the cover. The cushion must never be put in water. Only the plush cover is washable.
