Can screens cause visual disturbances in our children? If you are wondering, the answer is yes. But what is blue light? The spectrum of visible light extends from purple to red, it is this spectrum that we are able to see. Blue light rays are highly energetic rays, called High Visible Energy (HEV) light and close to violet and ultraviolet (UV) rays. This blue light is omnipresent because LED screens emit it continuously and are around us: phone, computer, television... The risks therefore depend on the intensity of the blue light, the duration of exposure to this wavelength, and the cumulative dose.

Anti-blue light lenses

Using glasses whose lenses filter blue light to reduce glare is therefore a solution. It is important to protect yourself from an early age. Indeed, blue light is recognized as more toxic in children than in adults because their lens allows 90 to 80% of blue light to pass through. Composition & Specifications

The filter HORIZANE called "Blue Ray Blocking System" filters up to 30% of the blue light emitted by LED screens. It protects up to 100% from UV, does not change the color spectrum (this is important because it allows you not to see everything in yellow!) and preserves the health of the eyes. It consists of a double filter to ensure premium optical quality: the first consisting of 5 layers blocks 100% of UV and up to 30% of blue light, and the second compound of 7 layers amplifies light.

The JUNIORS model is available in 2 colors: blue and pink. Each has its own particularity, these models adapt perfectly to the head of children from 8 to 12 years old thanks to their flexible and light branches. There is no magnification. This model follows the European standards for pre-assembled glasses (NF EN 14139) and the EN 166 standard which defines the general requirements for eye protection.
